On your Bhutan tour you can also visit and witness Tashichho Dzong (fortress), often known as Thimphu Dzong which is situated in Thimphu's northern sector. Tashichho Dzong, the government's seat since 1952, houses the king's throne room and offices, the secretariat, as well as the ministries of home affairs and finance.
