Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth of the ten revered Sikh Gurus, stands as an exemplar of courage, compassion, and sacrifice in Sikh history. Born Tyag Mal on April 1, 1621, in Amritsar, he would later assume the name Tegh Bahadur, meaning "Mighty of the Sword," bestowed upon him by Guru Hargobind, his grandfather.
