In general, its adverse effects result from taking it in large doses or for a long time, or from its interactions with other drugs. This explains why some COVID-19 patients have developed heart arrhythmias (unusual heart rhythms) due to the drug.

Patients with lupus and other conditions received much larger doses than necessary. As a result of COVID-19, patients are frequently very sick with heart issues and other diseases not associated with autoimmune disorders.

EXPLORING NEW USES FOR HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE

BRI’s Diabetes Clinical Research Program and Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet have conducted a new study of type 1 diabetes (T1D).
