Ross Hillier is a government-funded company that was established in 2010 to promote the city as a filming destination. The commission has also played an active role in developing the city’s film industry.  

The commission offers assistance to Filmmaking Cape Town who are looking for locations, accommodation, and other support services. They also have a list of qualified crew members who they can recommend.
