Although The 2016 World of Warcraft movie was an unpopular hit at the US box business, it made a splash in China and earned more than $430 million worldwide buy WoTLK Gold. The movie could make less money over the course of its run, but that doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility of a sequel. The director Duncan Jones has ideas for one trilogy, however it's not clear whether he'll be able to create another film.

The Evolution of World of Warcraft

A person wanted to know on Twitter to confirm if there would be a World of Warcraft sequel, to which he frankly responded, "I truly don't know." Jones said he wants to develop a sequel, but added that the final decision will be left to Legendary which is the production company behind the film's first installment.

While there is no confirmation of a World of Warcraft sequel is not confirmed, Jones recently shared some insight into what the movie's storyline could be about. In another tweet, Jones stated that a Doomplate for Ogrim was planned for the character. Ogrim was planned for sequel. He said: "With the orcs now in Azeroth they will learn about armor making in the World of Warcraft ."

Jones continued to add: "[ World of Warcraft ] would have seen Dalaran LAND within the Alterac mountains and magic grow as Kirin Tor tries to become more open following the death Llane."
