Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a cluster of 20 health conditions which are caused by a variety of pathogens: viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi and are prevalent in tropical regions, affecting some of the most impoverished communities of countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
