As of Feb 23, there were more than 10,000 live UP tenders published in Uttar Pradesh. Road construction is the top-ranked spending category, accounting for almost 10% of all publicised tenders. The 446 tenders for hospital construction indicate the government's priority is the development of hospital infrastructure. Out of the 446 tenders, more than 50% are issued in the Auraiya district, with Lucknow accounting for the remaining 18%. 40% of hospital building tenders are expected to close in the next seven to fourteen days. Only about 10% of the tenders are given more than 28 days of time for bid submission. The estimated value of the Hospitals is predominantly in the range of 1-20 Lakh, however, about 40% of the constructed hospitals are in the estimated range of 20 Lakh - 1 Crore.
