The Uttar Pradesh Education Board offers a 2-year teacher training programme called UP D.El.Ed. Previously, the UP BTC Exam was known as the UP D.El.Ed Exam (Diploma in Elementary Education) (Basic Teacher Certificate). It is a two-year teacher training programme for Uttar Pradesh's public and private schools. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can take the Entrance test.

UP D.El.Ed is a basic teacher training programme for candidates seeking admission to Uttar Pradesh's Diploma in Elementary Education programme. Candidates interested in enrolling in the UP D.El.Ed programme must pass the Board's Entrance test.

The UP D.El.Ed Exam, also known as the Diploma in Elementary Education Exam, is a Diploma level programme that focuses on child education or primary education in Uttar Pradesh schools. Previously, applicants were admitted to the UP D.El.Ed Exam based on their achievement in the Higher Secondary (10+2) exams. Admission to the programme is currently determined by the UP BTC Entrance exam as well as the Merit list.
